My dad, bless is heart, also wore two of those "darned things" as he would lovingly refer to them as. He would always make me laugh...for instance, when he & mom would have a disagreement, he would simply turn off his hearing aids, fold his arms & sit in his favourite armchair with a huge smirk plastered on his face, as my mom "prattled" away in the other room.
